About the Downtown Chorus

The Downtown Chorus was founded in the Fall of 2006 and is dedicated to fostering and sharing the art and joy of choral music with the goal of enriching and educating our New York City's downtown community. The chorus performs music from diverse historical periods and cultures. Members include students, faculty and staff from BMCC, as well as residents and professionals from the downtown and neighboring communities.
