Audition Process:
• Please prepare a brief song of your own choice to sing. It can be an aria or artsong, church hymn, folksong, or pop song. This material should be something you can sing with ease that gives us a sense of your comfortable vocal range and your musical expression.
• Each audition will also include vocalizing to test your range and an evaluation of your musical ear and sight-reading skills.
Downtown Chorus is a friendly choral community of people who love to sing and make beautiful music. All our auditions are structured to recruit not only those who are already skilled at reading music, but also those who are willing and able to acquire music skills as they learn.
